Nirupam stressed that the
soldiers of this country are at loss and their morale is also getting jolted
because of the dispute on OROP, adding that the Central government should take
special initiatives for taking care of the armed forces.

Mumbai [India], Nov.7: The Congress party on Sunday slammed the
Central government for making contradictory statements on the One Rank One
Pension and also urged the present regime to pay attention to the needs of
armed forces. “It is very unfortunate that India lost more than 50
soldiers during the ceasefire violation from Pakistani side. Government should
make extra efforts for taking care of the family of the martyr,” Congress
leader Sanjay Nirupam told ANI here.
“They are fooling the
soldiers on OROP. The entire Modi government is telling lies on the issue as
Prime Minister Modi claims that OROP has been implemented, but on the other
hand Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar says that he requires two months
to sort out the issue. Don’t know who is right and who is wrong,” he added.
